Stories

A deep question Jamie asks us today.
What story do you wish to live or let go of?
I’ve already let go of a lot of those horrible and negative stories. And I’m constantly dreaming of new stories to create in my life. Though I have no idea how my life book is going to end, I hope that this theme carries through: Authenticity. Whatever else I do in this life, I just want it to be genuine, honest, and true.

~alisha the steps you have been taking speak a thousand words of letting the past go and living true to yourself…may you live this life as you wish…genuine and true…as Alisha wishes fo rherself so I wish for her too…brightest blessings~
hmm…authenticity that’s a good one….I think that might need to be the “word” I carry around with me in 2010. As Alisha wishes for herself, so I wish for her too!
Hi Alisha,
Thanks for the comment. My name didn’t take on the circle from earlier in the day! You seem very genuine, honest and true to me. Glad you’ve already ditched those horrid stories. I got rid of mine too (well, almost all, there may be a few lurking around that surface from time to time.). Life is much lighter without them!
Enjoy… Giulietta
As Alisha wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. Authenticity is a rich word, enjoy!
Ah yes, I choose authenticity for you as well. Beautiful. You can’t help but be that.
As Alisha wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. The story of authenticity is really the best one to live. I also love your other recent posts!
I love your heart for the honest, genuine and true!
Alisha,
You wrote that you got rid of the horrible and negative stories. This is my first visit to your blog. I read the entries which were linked together but never read any of the stories you described. Can I assume the stories were from “Big Brother is watching?”
I understand how blogging can change your life. It can help you to LIVE life. You connect with others who, in the very least, acknowledge YOU.
As Alisha wishes, I wish for her also.
Hi Cindy,
I have never explicitly written about a lot of the negative–at least what I percieved to have been negative–experiences from my past. I was just alluding to this post (http://onasilentsea.com/2010/01/21/screw-approval-ratings/) in which I realized that I was still punishing myself for mistakes I made in the past, therefore denying myself the pleasures of life. I kept making myself suffer in the present because I kept so much focus on my past. So I decided that I needed to stop punishing myself.
I definitely agree that blogging can help you LIVE life. It’s been a struggle for me since I moved here to find a community. But through my blog and others’ blogs, I’ve found such a wonderfully supportive and encouraging community. Thanks for stopping by today. I look forward to reading more from you in the future as well!
